Overview of Products

The A3D Technology products include the FPgaming Assassin 3D, MadCatz Panther and the MadCatz PantherXL.

These products are for first-person action and role-playing games. They are among the latest designs by FPgaming -- the creators of many killer controllers including the Logitech WingMan Warrior.

Assassin 3D and Panther

While they look like trackballs, they actually connect between your joystick and computer to provide precise and fun, two-handed control. You can smoothly and easily "free-look" and move in games like Quake, Descent II, Dark Forces and Hexen. The Assassin 3D is designed for you to assassinate your friends.

With either of these products hooked up to your computer and your favorite joystick hooked into them, you have the feel of a real life player in a real life world.

PantherXL

The PantherXL is a combination of the Panther and a precision Flight Stick

The Controlball becomes your Eyes and your Shoulders, When you turn the Controlball left or right you turn to the left or the right. It is designed at a 1 to 1 ratio so that when you want to turn 90 degrees in your game you turn the Controlball 90 degrees. This gives you a feel that cannot be beat when it comes to intuitiveness and ease of use. When you pull back on the Controlball you look up, just like when you pull your head back you look up. When you push forward on the Controlball you look down just like when you push you head forward you look down.

Your favorite joystick or included Flight Stick becomes your legs, and just like your legs the movement is proportional. If you push the joystick forward just a little you will walk slowly forward. If you push it forward all the way you will be running at full speed. Works the same for backwards movement. If you move the joystick left or right you will strafe (sidestep) left or right also slow or fast depending on the amount of joystick movement.
