Jedi Knight / Dark Forces II

Yes, it is finally here. The Sequel to Dark Forces, Jedi Knight the demo has been released. It has built in support for the Assassin 3D with built in config files.

We at FPgaming want to thank Ray and Rob over at Lucas Arts for having the Assassin 3D support available with the first release of the demo.

Get your copy of Jedi Knight, direct from Lucas Arts.

Start up the game and choose Setup, then Controls. From there you want to choose Options and then Load Configuration. Choose the FP Gaming Assassin 3D w/Joystick selection. Click on OK a couple of times and you are ready to start your game.

Jedi Knight allows you to configure up to 8 Joystick buttons and one 4-way Hat Switch. This Table shows the FPgaming Assassin 3D w/Joystick defaults and how they will work depending on your type of joystick when used with the Assassin 3D.

      NOTES:

      • If you find that the sensitivity is too tight you need to upgrade to DirectX 5 this is a requirement by the game and not the Assassin 3D.
      • If you are having problems with the trackball movement check the following items,
Under Setup, Controls, Joystick: Make sure that your Joy1U and Joy1V have an X where it says Map Directly to Axes Value. Joy1V should also be reversed.
      • You may need to set the sensitivity for the Joy1U and Joy1V also. I have mine set to the far left of the slider bar but that does not mean that that is where you may need it. Move it till it feels right for you.
      • Double check your Win95 Calibration and verify that it is working correctly in some other game also (WinQuake-GlQuake or Hexen2)
      • If your character just spins or looks Up/Down uncontrollably, and re-calibrating doesn't seem to help click here.
      • Check out Troubleshooting if you are still having problems.
      • After you get it functioning the way you want, make sure that you re-save it.
