These steps may be needed if
you can't seem to be able to get a correct calibration in
your Windows 95 Joystick Applett (Game Controllers). The symptoms will usually be that your character in the game just spins, either left or right. Or the character will look Up or Down and if you move the trackball to center it you may or may not be able to bring it to center but it will return as soon as you stop moving the trackball. There is something in Windows 95 that will stop you from being able to re-calibrate a controller sometimes. I presume it is a bug but the following steps will assure that you get it done and get it right. It is not absolutely necessary to do steps 1 and 9 although this will assure that we get it as clean as possable. Note: Make sure that you select NONE as your controller while doing this process.
Finishing Note: It is very important to pay special attention to the four boxes when re-calibrating. If you do not have a Throttle or Rudder use the trackball to get to the top and bottom of each box. |
