      Hexen II

      Hexen II supports the Assassin 3D, here is what you need to do to get it to work.

      1. Download the Hexen II demo or install the retail package from Activision.
      2. You will need the Windows 95 DirectInput drivers Version 2.01 or better. If you do not have the drivers download them following the instructions on that page then come back here.
      3. Download the hexena3d.cfg Hexen II config file. When asked to save as, choose your \hexen\data1 directory. Note: You may need to Right Click on this link and choose Save As.;
      4. Then edit or create an autoexec.cfg file (located in your \hexen\data1 directory) to add the following line.

        exec hexena3d.cfg

      Notes:

      1.) If you do not have an autoexec.cfg file, you can rename the hexena3d.cfg to autoexec.cfg and it will execute automatically. You can also add the line exec hexena3d.cfg to your autoexec.cfg file so that it gets executed automaticaly (recommended).

      2.) If you have any problems setting up Hexen II please read through the Quake FAQ's and the Quake World Faq's file. I will put up a Hexen II Faq's page if it is needed.

      3.) For help configuring your Joystick Speeds and Sensitivity settings refer to the Advanced Joystick Information Page.

      4.) You will need to edit the hexena3d.cfg file to set up your button configs.

      5.) The Hexen II Demo has a quirk that the Always Run feature does not work for joysticks. What we have done is modified the hexenadv.cfg file to compensate.
