      Logitech WingMan Extreme

      My WingMan Extreme doesn't stop moving when I center the joystick!

      The WingMan Extreme has a rubber boot that, while looks cool, sometimes binds. This stops the handle from returning completely to center. This can be compensated for by editing your <game>.ini file and adding in two lines:

      RDZ = 22
      PDZ = 22

      This increases the Roll Dead Zone (RDZ) and Pitch Dead Zone (PDZ) from 15 to 22 (6% of full-range to 9% of full-range). Now, it will be easier to stop moving. If the change is not significant enough, experiment with slightly larger numbers.

      Why do I calibrate my WingMan Extreme as a ThrustMaster Joystick?

      The WingMan Extreme joystick is designed to use the ThrustMaster protocol. The ThrustMaster protocol means that the Hat control is used in place of a throttle.

      I have the Digital, and am having problems Calibrating.

      The Wingman Extreme Digital has dual modes. This means that it can be either CH Mode or TM Mode. The buttoins on the base will do the selecting. Hold down the dimpled button for 3 seconds and it will change into TM Mode. Hold down the other button and it will be in CH Mode.
