If you can not seem to get your A3D product to work in any game, here are a few steps to check out and hopefully find the problem.
Are you able to calibrate in the DOS Calibration and Test ?
YES: Please see next Question.
NO: Please check out the Error messages from the DOS Calibration and Test.
Are you able to calibrate in the Joystick applett located in the Control Panel ?
YES: Please read on.
NO: Check out the Error messages from the Win95 Joystick Applett.
Make sure that you have a good copy of the Alaunch program.
Click on Start followed by Programs and click on MS-DOS Prompt. This will leave you at a C Prompt, by default you will be in your windows directory.
Type in alaunch and press Enter. You should see a screen like this. If you get a blank screen or a screen full of garbage characters you will need to get a new copy of the Assassin 3D Drivers.
Check out the Game Setups area for information on setting up each game.
Make sure that you are using the alaunch program in each of your shortcuts. You may want to test the launching of the game from the DOS Prompt before you make your shortcut to verify that it is working.
Click on Start followed by Programs and click on MS-DOS Prompt. This will leave you at a C Prompt, by default you will be in your windows directory.
Change to the directory where the game is located, I will use Doom2 as an example...
Type cd\doom2 and press Enter. This should leave you at the doom2 prompt. If you get an error message and are still in the windows directory please use the correct \ (backslash)
Type in alaunch doom2 and press Enter. This should launch the game with Assassin 3D support.
