      Gaming Devices Icon

If you have the Microsoft Sidewinder Gaming Devices installed on your machine you will see Gaming Devices instead of Joystick listed in your Control Panel. There is a bug in the Gaming Devices when it comes to using the FPgaming Assassin 3D Drivers that will not allow you to use the Calibrate function. We have come up with a handy little work around.

With DirectX5 this problem has been solved and you should install DirectX5.

Note: Do not get confused between Gaming Devices and Game Controllers Icons. DirectX 5 calls the joystick applett Game Controllers and it works fine.

You have a couple of choices as to what you want to do.
