Hello to all you Jedi Knight fans out there...
The Mysteries of the Sith Demo has all the tools you need to totally customize your A3D Product. Unlike in the original Jedi Knight where we only get 8 buttons and the 4-way Hat, they have included support for up to 16 buttons and a 4-way Hat. They have also changed the Axes sensitivity selector from the slider bar to numbers, this allows you to set up your Trackball
The Setup is rather easy once you get the hang of the joystick setup interface.
Make sure that you have your A3D Product assigned and calibrated in your Win95 Game Controllers before you start this procedure.
To get to the joystick setup area you will need to start the game. From the main menu choose Setup. Then choose Controls followed by Joystick.
The first thing you will need to do is to uncheck the Disable joystick box. You should now see all the options for your joystick.
The Default joystick setup has the Joy 1 X Axes assigned to Turn Left/Right. You will want to change that so that the joystick will slide. You can double click on the title Joy 1 X Axes and from the pop up menu choose Slide Left/Right.
To assign the Trackball on your A3D product to the normal defaults follow these steps.
You can now go ahead and select your joystick buttons and assign them to any of the available options. The button numbers will follow your particular joystick as tested in the Game Controllers, test screen.
I suggest that after you have set up and tested your joystick configuration that you save it. From the menu select Setup followed by Controls then Options. From the Options menu click on Save Configuration. This will bring up a dialog box where you can type in a name and press enter to save.
Note: From the Options menu you may want to select Always Run.
